Who are we and what do we do?
Vision: Mid Coast 4 Kids is a community based initiative designed to support children and young people to make a safe, supported and successful transition from childhood through to adulthood.
Evidence: Mid Coast 4 Kids recognises the first 2000 days in a child’s life are a critical time for physical, cognitive, social and emotional health and development. We recognise that early life experiences are strongly predictive of how a child will learn and grow and these impacts will extend across their lifespan.
Research: Mid Coast 4 Kids is committed to using the most up to date Australian and International research and evidence to bring a new level of rigour to early intervention practices on the Mid Coast.
Voice: Mid Coast 4 Kids is committed to robust exploration of local systems issues, prioritising community voices and local experts in the field.
Collaboration: Mid Coast 4 Kids advocates for effective community, government and partner agency collaboration to deliver a strong, evidence based system of care and support for children, young people and families.
Evaluation: Mid Coast 4 Kids is committed to robust evaluation of local systems change initiatives to ensure actions are effective and provide opportunities for shared learning.
Leadership: Mid Coast 4 Kids will provide leadership and development opportunities to Mid Coast communities to build their capacity to recognise and respond to systems issues across a range of contexts.
